All of our group activities are eligible for payment under NDIS funding. They are run by Teachers, Allied health assistants or Speech pathologists, and are evidence based. We only allow 4 children per group so everyone can get to know each other well.

Parent led language development group

Taking expressions of interest for term 4

For late or minimally talking children under 5

When: Tuesdays 9:30

Duration: 1 hour

Spots: Limited to 4 kids per group

Price: Maximum $159 per session

Facilitated by a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), this group is designed for parents and children to participate in together. It is tailored for younger children who have limited speech. The group employs various communication methods, including parent training to support language development, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and key word sign.

Each session offers structured conversation about a language development strategy, and accompanying handout, as well as time to practice the strategy in class with support and ask questions as needed.

Parent Support: Sessions begin with a short parent information session, which builds your knowledge weekly about how speech development works, how to support it and why the strategies work.

Targeted Practice: Each family works 1:1 with a professional for a short time giving individualised support, focusing on specific speech targets.

Duration: one hour

Ages: 3:6-8 years

Spots Available: up to 5 children per group

Story Craft is a small group program designed to support children’s language development in a fun and engaging way.

  • Shared story reading using evidence-based techniques (dialogic reading and Blanks questions) to build understanding and expression

  • A hands-on craft activity linked to the story, encouraging social interaction and conversation skills

  • Parent involvement, so you can learn simple strategies to support your child’s language at home

Affordable and flexible – attend casually for $50 per session or grab a 5-session pass for flexible attendance.

Children aged 4–7 years who need a little extra support with language, whether or not they have a formal diagnosis or NDIS plan.
